The Amazing Grace Retreat is the ideal blend of graceful beauty and modern convenience located in picturesque Angel Fire, New Mexico. Nestled in the pines and aspens on a wooded, oversized double lot in the country club neighborhood, you are secluded in nature yet close to all of the modern conveniences that a top-notch resort has to offer. Our home is located 5 minutes from the base of the slopes and is right across the street from the 11th green of the championship golf course. You can walk to the new Country Club where you can indulge in some of the finest food in Colfax County (we highly recommend the Blue Corn Encrusted Ruby Red Trout with Roasted Corn and Black Bean Bread Pudding with Serrano Crème Fraiche). Or if you prefer, you can partake in a variety of activities including sledding, Nordic skiing, swimming, golf, yoga, tennis, hiking or fishing – all located right in the immediate neighborhood. On the days you want to spend more time close to home, sit on the deck and admire the beauty of the abundant wildlife including elk, deer and beautiful birds.
Still, the best feature of Amazing Grace Retreat is the comfortable layout of the house itself…it is ideal for multiple families. With 4 bedrooms, a bunkroom, 3 full baths, and 2 living areas with stone fireplaces on separate floors, we sleep 16 people in real beds, with the smallest bed being a queen -- no twin bunk beds or sleeper sofas here! You also enter the house directly into the main floor, so you can just come in and relax after a long day of skiing without the worry of maneuvering a flight of stairs, which is common in so many mountain homes. We want you to feel relaxed on your vacation, so we have stocked the house with the comforts of home. The fully equipped kitchen is complete with everything from cooking and bake ware to crock pots and coffee pots. The bedrooms include extra pillows and blankets/comforters for those cold winter nights, and the fireplaces include blowers to keep you extra toasty. All details are tailored with your comfort in mind.
The home’s upscale décor is special as it showcases local artists from Taos and Santa Fe and features a custom copper-topped dining room table that is a one-of-a kind true work of art. From its native stone fireplaces and aspen wood trim to its expansive sunny windows and local artwork, the Amazing Grace Retreat is as much “at home” in its Sangre de Cristo Mountain setting as you will feel in this peaceful, serene home.
